UIB Truck Parts Ships Shock Absorber Order to the United States
UIB Truck Parts has completed production and shipment of a shock absorber order bound for a customer in the United States. The consignment includes front shock absorber struts and complete strut assemblies with coil springs, packed and loaded for ocean freight from China.
What Was Shipped
The order covers two families of parts that US repair shops and distributors order most often:
- Bare shock absorber struts — the strut body, piston rod and mounting brackets, supplied without springs for workshops that reuse the original coil spring and top mount.
- Complete strut assemblies — strut, coil spring and mounts delivered as one unit, which shortens fitting time and removes the need for a spring compressor at the bench.
Both types are produced in the same black powder-coated finish and packed together, so a distributor can stock a single reference family for a range of vehicle applications.
Inspection Before Packing
Every unit in this order passed the same checks before it reached the carton:
- Piston rod surface inspected for scoring, pitting and chrome defects
- Weld joints on the spring seat, knuckle bracket and stabiliser link checked visually and by sample section
- Coating thickness and coverage checked on the strut body and spring seat
- Dimensional check of mounting hole spacing, rod diameter and overall compressed and extended length
- Assembly check on complete units: spring seating, top mount rotation and rebound travel
Parts that fail any of these checks are pulled before packing rather than sorted out at the destination port.
Packing for a Long Sea Route
China to the United States means four to six weeks in a container, often with two or three transshipment points. Packing is built around that:
- Each strut wrapped in protective film to keep the chrome rod free of moisture and grit
- Units braced inside cartons so the rod cannot bear load in transit
- Cartons stacked on pallets and strapped, with the pallet footprint matched to the container plan
- Container loaded with moisture protection and a packing list matched to the commercial invoice
From One Container to a Repeat Programme
Most US buyers start with a trial order covering the part numbers they turn over fastest, then build a repeat programme around the references that sell. Because UIB also supplies brake drums, brake shoes, wheel hubs, suspension parts and hydraulic cylinders, the same container can carry a mixed truck parts order instead of a single product line — one supplier, one set of documents, one shipment date.
After the Container Arrives
Shipment is not the end of the order. Our after-sales team handles fitment questions, technical clarification and any quality claim after arrival, and works directly with the customer to resolve it. For a distributor, that means the parts can go on the shelf with support behind them.
Ordering Shock Absorbers for the US Market
If you are sourcing shock absorbers or complete strut assemblies for the US market, send us the part numbers, vehicle applications and the quantity you plan to stock. We will confirm availability, packing and lead time, and can quote a mixed container if you also need brake or suspension parts.
