How to Order Truck Parts from China: A Buyer's Guide
Buying truck parts from China can save 20-40% compared to local suppliers — if you follow the right process. Here is a practical guide for first-time and repeat buyers.
Step 1: Prepare a clear part list
For every part, collect: the OEM number, truck model and year, axle position (left/right, front/rear), and photos of the old part. The more complete the list, the fewer wrong parts you will receive.
Step 2: Verify the supplier
Ask for: company registration, factory photos or video call, and references. A manufacturer with in-house production and quality control is preferable to a pure trader.
Step 3: Confirm specifications before payment
Agree on material, dimensions, packaging and marking in writing. Request a pre-production sample for large or custom orders.
Step 4: Agree on packaging and shipping terms
Standard sea freight packaging (palletized, stretch-wrapped) protects parts in containers. Confirm Incoterms, port and delivery window before you pay.
Step 5: Inspect on arrival
Check quantity, part numbers and visible damage at delivery. Report discrepancies immediately with photos.
